Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-04. This policy describes data handling on Would You Rather Questions. Contact us at hello@wouldyouratherquestions.org.
Data used to provide the site
- Game choices. Choosing an option reveals a display result generated in your browser. The site has no accounts or server-side record of individual choices or votes. The percentages shown are not a survey of visitors.
- Hosting requests. Cloudflare processes requests to deliver and protect the site. This may include IP addresses, requested URLs, browser and device information, and security or performance data. Cloudflare can retain operational logs, including sampled Worker observability data, under its own settings and policies.
- Emails you choose to send. Contact and submission links open your email app; nothing is sent until you send the message. We receive the sender address and message in our mailbox, use them to respond or review the request, and do not use them for marketing.
- Storage on your device. Browser local storage can remember saved questions and a game-control hint. Session storage remembers questions seen and game progress during a session. These are stored in your browser, not in a site account.
- Loading saved questions. Your browser requests published question data to display favorites. For larger collections, it sends question IDs in a request body to a Cloudflare-hosted lookup endpoint. The endpoint returns the matching published questions and does not save a server-side favorites list. Cloudflare still processes the request as host.
How long data is kept
Browser storage remains until you clear it or your browser removes it. We keep emails as long as needed to respond, review a suggestion, or handle a request. You can ask us to delete an email, subject to applicable obligations. Cloudflare and email providers have their own retention practices.
Analytics and advertising
Optional analytics and advertising are off by default. If Google Analytics 4 is enabled, its script loads after you accept analytics in the cookie banner and may use cookies. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, its cookieless beacon may send page-view and performance data to Cloudflare without waiting for that cookie choice. Advertising is currently disabled; this policy and the consent controls will be updated before it is introduced. See the Cookie Policy for details and controls available when optional cookies are enabled.
Providers
Cloudflare provides hosting and, if enabled, Web Analytics. Emails pass through your email provider and ours. If Google Analytics 4 is enabled and you accept it, Google also processes analytics data. These providers may process data outside your country.
Your choices and requests
You can remove saved questions and clear this site's browser storage in your browser settings. If you have emailed us, contact hello@wouldyouratherquestions.org to ask about or request deletion of the information in our mailbox. Other rights may apply depending on where you live. For data handled by a provider, see that provider's privacy policy.
Children
The game and collections do not ask for personal details to play. If a child sends us personal information by email, contact us to request its deletion.
